Our technicians are factory-trained in most of the common manufactured turbochargers on the market today. Our extensive working knowledge combined with a fully equipped workshop, means we can carry out all types of repair and turbocharger servicing.

Mike Hillerby - Managing Director

Mike formed South Pacific Turbochargers in 2011 after building up extensive industry experience throughout New Zealand and the Pacific. His technical and managerial background brings a broad range of skills to the business to ensure all repairs and servicing are completed in a efficient and cost effective manor. Mike has maintained long lasting working relationships with his clients as he continues to provide a high-quality and reliable service.

Experience

Mike has worked in the ship repair industry for over 39 years with over 23 years in the turbocharger service industry. During this time he has undertaken service work, repairs and conducted staff training programmes. He has gained extensive knowledge of all brands of turbochargers. Mike has built up his knowledge working many countries throughout the Pacific 

Qualifications

Mike is factory trained in a wide range of common turbochargers such as ABB, MAN, KBB, and has extensive knowledge of IHI, Napier, Niigata, Mitsubishi Mitsui B&W, SKBT.

Romel Prospero - Service Director

Romel has gained vast experience over the past 18 years in the turbocharger service and repair industry. He is a fully qualified machinist, mechanical fitter, heavy diesel engine fitter and balancing technician. In 1991 Romel attend the University of Southern Mindanao and in 1995 he gained his Bachelor of Technology degree.

Experience

Romel has worked in the turbocharger service repair industry for over 18 years. He has built up extensive working knowledge of all types of turbochargers used in vessels, including ABB, MAN, KBB, IHI, Napier, Niigata, Mitsubishi Mitsui B&W, SKBT.

Qualifications

Romel is a fully qualified machinist, mechanical fitter, heavy diesel engine fitter and balance technician, he has also completed a B.Tech Degree at the University of Southern Mindanao.
